Return Policies

Original, dated receipt must be included with all requests for refunds and exchanges.

  • Refunds for purchases made with cash, are paid back in cash.
  • Refunds for check purchases will be made with a check.
  • Refunds for purchases made with a credit card or debit card are credited to the same card.

Textbook Return Policy

  • All refunds must be made within time limit.
  • Fall & Spring full semester courses 2 weeks from the first day of classes.
  • Fall & Spring half semester courses (8-week courses) refunded for 5 days after start date of class.
  • Summer full semester courses (8-week courses) refunded for 5 days after start date of class.
  • Textbooks must be in purchased condition for a full refund. There will be no refunds for packaged texts if the shrink-wrap package or seal on box is broken, damaged, or items are missing.
  • Defective books/disks are replaced or refunded at the discretion of University Bookstore management.
  • Shipping charges are not refunded on returns. Exchanges are subject to new shipping charges.
  • No refunds on textbooks in the last two weeks of classes.
  • One day, or weekend classes - NO refunds on books.

General Books & Merchandise

  • General Books & Merchandise may be returned within 7 days if in new condition.
  • No refunds on test preps, study guides, trade books or clearance merchandise.
  • Shipping charges are not refunded on returns. Exchanges are subject to new shipping charges.
  • Laptops, electronics, and backpacks warranties are with the manufacturer and are non-returnable.
  • Food items, health & beauty, watches & stethoscopes cannot be returned.
  • Items on SALE are considered final sales, and are not returnable.

KCKCC Bookstore Management reserves the right to refuse any return on the bases of abuse to any of our policies and programs.
