How to Register for Your Inclusive Access Course Material

These instructions are for use with a web browser (Chrome, Edge, IE, Safari, and Firefox)

Log into your West Shore Community College Canvas account (https://westshore.instructure.com )

Click on your English Composition course.

Navigate to the module item called “Follow this Link to get access to your e-book” and click on it. If your instructor uses the modules view to display course information you should see the link towards the top of your course. If your instructor uses pages to display course information, you will need to click on Modules in the global navigation (blue bar along left side of screen) and find the “Follow this Link to get access to your e-book” item. Follow the link to set up your VitalSource account. You should see the screen below.

It is very important that you use your West Shore Community College email account to set up your VitalSource account. If you don’t use your WSCC account you will have to pay for the e-book again. The purchase price of your book was included in your tuition.

After entering your WSCC email address, complete the registration form including a password. You might want to keep your WSCC and VitalSource password the same so that it is easier to remember. Click register to complete to submit your information. After clicking register you will be presented with the end user license agreement. Click “Accept license agreement” and then complete. Your account is now complete.

If you have any trouble, click on Support in the upper right corner of the registration screen.

Your courses on Canvas will likely not be available until the first day of the semester.

If you already have the book because you took English Composition I during the Fall semester 2017 you should already have a VitalSource/Bookshelf account and don’t have to complete this step again.
