Return & Refund Policy
YOUR RECEIPT IS REQUIRED FOR ALL RETURNS!
You Must Have Your Receipt!

Refunds will be processed according to how they were originally purchased. Purchases Ymade with a charge card will be issued a charge credit. Purchases to Student accounts will be credited to student accounts. Purchases made by check require a waiting period of 7 school days from the date the check was written for it to clear before cash refund is given.

You may return a new or used textbook for a full refund up to the last day of the first week of classes during the regular fall or spring semester, or the first three days of the Summer Session during which it was purchased.


For a Full Refund on New Textbooks

Books must be in perfect NEW condition-wrapped and free from any writing, stains, markings, scratches or damage of any kind. Access Codes must not be opened, exposed or used. Any books or packages that are plastic wrapped can NOT be returned if they have been opened!

NEW books (See Description Above) can be returned for a 75% refund during the second week, a 50% refund during the third week and a 25 % refund during the fourth week. After the fourth week there will be NO refund for ANY books unless they were purchased within the last three (3) school days.


Distance & Online Courses

The same refund policy applies as described above. Books may be brought in to the bookstore, or they may be shipped back to the address listed on the reverse side: Attn: Returns. When shipping, we use the postmarked date on the package to determine return eligibility, and shipping costs are NOT reimbursed. We will not be responsible for lost or misdirected packages. Optional insurance and/or delivery confirmation services are available through most shippers. Be sure to include your receipt along with your name, A# and phone number to avoid return delays. These shipping instructions apply to Rental Refunds and returns as well.


EBooks

Once an e-book title is activated, there can be no returns, regardless of the time frame. A non-activated e-book can be returned under the same guidelines as a new textbook.


Rental Materials

The same refund policy applies as described above. Rentals that are damaged or not returned by the deadline will be charged full replacement costs to the account of the student. Underlining shipping instructions in #5 above also apply to rentals. RENTAL MATERIALS ARE THE PROPERTY OF VINCENNES UNIVERSITY AND MUST BE RETURNED BY THE DUE DATE TO AVOID CHARGES.


Refunds

Supplies may be returned within one week of purchase if in original packaging. Clothing items may be returned within one week of purchase if NOT worn or washed and if all tags are present. Laptops and Tablets will not be accepted for return. Please check with the manufacturer if any defects are found.


Not Returnable

Laptops, Tablets, Electronics, Paperbacks, Best Sellers, Special Orders, Review Books, Trade Books, and Sale Items. We reserve the right to inspect ALL merchandise and textbooks for damages before accepting ANY item for return.


Book Buy Back Policy

Fall and Spring Terms-On Campus and Online/Distance Ed: In-Store Book Buy Back will be held the week before and the week during final exams. Additional dates may be added. Summer Term: Buy Back dates vary.
