Your book order has a direct impact on the price we pay students at buyback. When we know what books are going to be used for the next term, we pay students 50% of the new book price when they sell them back. If we don’t have the necessary adoption information, the best we can do is offer students a price that is determined by a used book distributor based on supply and demand at other campuses. We are trying to continue to decrease the price of textbooks by offering a more extensive used book program—used books are priced 25% less than new books. Used books also allow us the opportunity to be competitive with the online market.
